Landfills:
A wide variety of waste is stored in a landfill for an indefinite period of time. This leads to chemical, physical and biological degradation processes, which, in addition to unpleasant odors, also produce high concentrations of dangerous gases and chemicals, spores, fungi and viruses.
Composting and fermentation plants:
In composting plants, organic substances are converted biochemically. During this process, viruses, bacteria, germs, fungi, spores and fine dust as well as gases such as ammonia are released into the ambient air. The harmful substances can be absorbed through the skin and breathing.
Demolition and dismantling work

Mining

Another challenge are the various, sometimes odorless gases that are caused by the blasting work, the rock itself or the vehicles and machines.
Agriculture
Users of plant protection products must adequately protect drivers during application. Tightly sealed standard cabins reduce exposure, but residue can still get into the cabin. The protective effect depends on the cabin type and its handling and technical equipment. The Federal Ministry of Consumer Protection and Food Safety has issued the guideline EN15695 CAT 1-2, SF120 and Cat 1-4, SBL30 Comfort and Premium for this purpose.
